About me

about me

Hard earned knowledge

With over 28 years of experience in most phases of residential and commercial construction, I’ve seen a few things…Some were even right.  Sadly, most carpenters have had to trial and error their way through various projects.   I’ve been there too.  I do however, constantly strive to learn and do better.  This drive has given me some opportunities to learn from excellent craftsmen.  Sadly,  many highly skilled workers are no longer in the field.  Â

Over the years I have learned that customers (and even some architects) don’t always know what they really want.  This means that the first, and possibly most important, task is to clearly discern what is needed and why.  Only after this is established can the design and planning be set in motion.   There have been many occasions on which previous employers were not as clear on what the customer wanted and this resulted in an unhappy customer and contractor.

Prepare your mind

Preparing your mind for possibilities, whether good or bad, helps make the challenge of construction a little easier.  I prefer to raise redflags early, so that they can be navigated or even avoided.

what I do

I will help you or your designer to implement your concept.  This can include project design or engineering (non-structural), custom production, sprayed finishes, careful installation.   Let’s make it to last!
